How It All Started
Long Island Waterjet is a precision waterjet cutting shop in the heart of Long Island. This family-owned and operated small business was founded over 23 years ago by its previous owner, Ron Dennison. With a lifelong passion for metalwork, Ron wanted to start something different after owning a welding shop for over 17 years. He took a leap of faith into the world of waterjet cutting, without knowing how to operate such a machine, but he knew it was something he wanted to learn and master after seeing a waterjet machine in action once. Fast forward just a few years, and he had become a master of the trade, had built a business to be proud of, a business that could be carried on, and a business his son would be proud to take over one day. Now owner-operator A.J. Dennison also shares his father's strong passion for metalwork. After working together every day for nearly 13 years to build the business to where it is today, with a lovely, spacious shop and three OMAX waterjet machines, Ron retired in January 2024, leaving behind a business legacy with big shoes to fill! A.J. is always up for the challenge and ready and eager to help with any waterjet-cutting project you may have!
Our three top-of-the-line OMAX waterjet machine centers can cut virtually any material, minus a few, up to 8 inches thick. We'll turn your project around quickly and accurately, specializing in precision cutting of letters, signage, shapes, and custom truck and car parts, as well as machine parts. If you can think of it, chances are we can make it.
We are always open to the public for walk-ins, and we can handle small runs or large quantities with the fastest turnaround times. We stock the most common metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, in various sizes and thicknesses to help with a more rapid turnaround time for our customers' projects.
